SPS-1 (UW solution) is a clear to light yellow,sterile,non-pyrogenic solution for hypothermic flushing , storage and transportation of isolated abdominal organs. CE marked and USFDA approved solution.

INDICATIONS AND CLINICAL USES :

SPS-1 must be cooled to 2 – 60c prior to use. The solution is flushed into the isolated organ before/after removal of organ. The solution is left in the organ vasculature during the hypothermic storage and transportation. SPS-1 is to be used for cold storage of the organ but not acceptable for continuous machine perfusion.

Precautions: KPS-1, kidney perfusion solution includes constituents (Hydroxyethyl starch [HES]), which have caused hypersensitivity reactions in some patients. Physicians should be alert to treat possible reactions.
